John A. “Jack” Daffin, Jr., 87, of Easton died on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Easton. Mr. Daffin was born in Talbot County on March 24, 1930, son of the late John A. Daffin and Katie Roe Daffin.
After graduating from Easton High School in 1947, Jack worked on the family farm near Tunis Mills. In 1952, he married the former Kathryn Ellingsworth and they began a lifelong career of farming near Easton.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; two sons, Ronald Wayne Daffin of Cordova, and Gary M. Daffin of Easton, a sister, Mary Jane Meilke of Easton, and three grandchildren; Jenny Rowe and her husband Scott, Kate Daffin and Jonathan Daffin and one great granddaughter, Maya Rowe. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Daffin and a grandson, Paul Daffin.
A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Route 50 near Easton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Talbot Historical Society, www.hstc.org.
