James Thomas Richards, age 84, passed away on October 25, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on November 12, 1932 in San Gabriel, Texas to Howard and Ruth Richards.
He served in the United States Air Force as an Airman 1st class. He served as an Aircraft Mechanic from January 15, 1955 to January 14, 1957.
James married Patricia in 1962 and the couple had two children. He retired as a Truck Driver later in his life.
In his spare time James enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and growing vegetables in his garden.
His family will always remember him as a beloved, outgoing parent, grandparent, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia; parents Howard and Ruth; brothers Irvin, John, and Clyde; and his sister Dorothy.
James is survived by his daughters Lisa Jackson and husband Terry, and Kim Simmons and husband Tim; brother Bill Richards and wife Gladys; grandchildren Joshua and Ashley Stovall, Jared and Charlotte Stovall, Jillian Stovall and Ryan O’Donnell, and Matthew Richards; great-granddaughters Jazmyne, and Adyson and Madilyn Stovall; step grandchildren and great-grandchildren Cory, Casey, Brittany, Hayley, Cammie, Riley, Andrew, and Misti; nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous other family members.
