Clifford T. "Terry" Davenport, 75, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away October 21, 2017 at Mayo Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida with his family and Pastor surrounding him with love and prayers.

A native of Newnan, Georgia, he was born November 10, 1941 youngest of six boys. Terry spent the first 18 years of his life in Coweta County. During his formative years he worked for his Uncle Perk at Perkin's Grocery and as a car hop at Robert and Alfs. He graduated from Newnan High School in 1960, joined the United States Air Force and served four years active duty, Honorably Discharged in March of 1964. While stationed at Truax AFB in Madison, Wisconsin he met and married the former Dellamae Koelker on January 15, 1963. During their 54 years of marriage they have resided in Wisconsin, Iowa, Georgia and Florida. Terry graduated from the University of Florida, Gainesville with a degree in banking.

He retired from AmSouth Bank in 2002, at the time of retirement he was Sr. Vice President overseeing Citrus, Hernando and Pasco County banks. He was very active in community activities in the Citrus County area. After his retirement he obtained his Captain's License and operated Captain D's Saltwater Fishing School for several years. While they lived in Tampa he was active in youth sports serving as coach, athletic director and President of Temple Terrace Youth Sports Association. He was the voice for King High School Football and Basketball from 1982-86, and hosted a weekly high school sports cable television show. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Newnan until the family moved to Homosassa and he became an active member of First Baptist Church of Homosassa, serving His Lord in several ministries.

Terry is survived by his wife of 54 years Dellamae (nee Koelker), sons Todd (Kris) of Warner Robins, Georgia; David (Meg) of Palm Bay, Florida and daughter Kelli Osborne (Jeff) of Ponte Vedra, Florida. Brother Jimmy (Nell) Davenport, Newnan,Georgia. Grandchildren Ryan Craig(Charlie), Robert Terry (Brennan-fiance), Corey Thomas, Corisa Machelle, Jeffrey Hunter, Jacob Charles, Riley Rose and Kendell Grace; great grandson Jack Torin. Fondly remembered by cousins, nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Robert and Inez Reeves Davenport, he is preceded in death by brothers Robert, Eugene, J.D. and Curtis, nephew Don Davenport.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at First Baptist Church, Homosassa, on Friday, October 27, 2017, with visitation at 9:30, service at 10:30, luncheon at 11:45, and interment following with military honors at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to First Baptist Church of Homosassa, 10540 Yulee Drive, Homosassa, Fl. 34448, United Way of Citrus County, Cancer Foundation or Parkinson's Foundation.
