Ralph E.(Banjo" Fine, Jr., age 87, of Newport, passed away 2:00 am, Tuesday July 20, 2013, at his home. He was a WWII veteran having served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph E. and Rose Webb Fine; sister, Mary Madeline Trent: brother, Kenneth Fine; brother-in-law, Clyde David (Lum) Edwards; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Morgan Fine; nephews. Clark William Trent and Kenny Fine. He is survived by his wife, Joan B. Fine; daughter, Deborah Ann Fine Eslinger and husband R. Eugene Eslinger, and their son, Travis Eugene Eslinger; sisters, Hazel Fine Boyd and Frances Fine Edwards; nieces and nephews, Mary Trent Gentry and George Ralph Trent, Timothy David Edwards, Rose Marie Edwina Gregg and Sharon Fine Baker. Per his request, no visitation or services will be held, he will be cremated. The family requests that no flowers or food be sent. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Manes Funeral Home is in charge.
