Lois A. (Shearer) Steen, age 73, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 29, 1944 to Glenn and Iva (Beckman) Shearer in Grove City, Pennsylvania. Lois lived to serve the Lord and share his message to all who would listen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Mummert; brother-in-law, Thomas Mummert; and nephew, Robert Mummert. Lois is survived by her siblings, Ray (Karen) Shearer, Glenda (Jess Sanderson) Shearer, Kenneth (Patricia) Shearer and Joy (Rudolph) Fulgham; nieces and nephews, Sherry (Mark) Plessner, Michael Mummert, Michelle (Ron) Groll, James Shearer, Diana Shearer, Matthew Shearer, Leanne (Matt) Fall, Katherine Shearer, Wesley Fulgham and Brannan Fulgham; many great-nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, 4210 W. Central Ave., Toledo, OH 43606. We will be meeting at the cemetery gates at 10:00 a.m. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services
