Homer W. Sington 91, of Bellaire, died on April 4, 2013 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Beloved husband of Coral for 67 years. Loving father of Mark, Penny (Dave) Neef, Shelly (Hal) Pisors, Bruce, Jim (Susan). Grandfather of Lindsey Kelly, Dr. Haley Neef, David, Michael and Anna Pisors, Jonathan, Alex and Andrew Sington, Sarah and Zeke Vanas, 4 great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Homer is a Veteran of World War II, serving 3 years building air fields in North Africa, China, Burma, and India with the 1875 Army Air Corp. He was a member of the American Legion, and a life member of the Zion Lodge #1, Detroit, as well as plural membership to the Bellaire Masonic Lodge # 398. Funeral services will be held on Sat., April 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 403 Traverse St., Elk Rapids, MI., 49629. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. Pastor David Mellor will officiate. Burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Antrim County Habitat for Humanity, 305 S. Williams St., Mancelona, MI., 49659 or to St. Paul's Episcopal Memorial Fund.
