Ex-Louisvillian Stabbed to Death; Husband Arrested
A former Louisville women was stabbed to death at her Frankfort home Friday, Frankfort Police reported yesterday.
The report said Mrs. Bob Tussey, 35, was stabbed 45 times. Her husband, who is 33, was arrested in connection with the stabbing and taken to Eastern State Hospital, Lexington.
Mrs. Tussey was the former Mary Elizabeth Akridge. She had worked the last four years as a waitress for the Statesman Lounge in Frankfort.
Survivors beside her husband include her father, Jesse Akridge; a daughter, Mrs. Terri Lee Shramm; a son, James T. Tussey, and a granddaughter, all of Louisville.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arch L. Heady Okolona Funeral Home, 8519 Preston, with burial in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home after 11 a.m. today.
