Frederick A. Booher died at his residence in this place, yesterday morning, aged 47 years; of that unpleasant and usually fatal disease, dropsy. Mr. Booher had for many years been engaged in the business of conveyancing, and was always known as a skillful and painstaking draftsman. For some years past he had been trouble with the disease that finally ended his existence, and of a consequence was almost entirely incapacitated from giving attention to his business and we understand left his family in destitute circumstances. We trust that the family will receive that sympathy from our citizens to which they are deservedly entitled. We are not familiar with Mr. Booher’s early history but for many years past we have known him as a business man in our midst, and ever found him a courteous gentleman. His family in this there hour of trial, have our earnest, heartfelt sympathy. The father of the deceased, Mr. Frederick Booher, who died in this place in 1861 was at one time the heaviest land owner in this part of the state and was one of Kalamazoo’s first men.
