EUGENE C. "GENE" PIKE, 80, of Darby died Sunday in Brooksville. A native of Arkansas, he was a lifelong resident of this area. He was the owner and operator of Gene's Barber Shop in San Antonio, a watch repairman and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ida; a son, Charles of Lake Worth; two daughters, June Meggison of Coral Springs and Marti Huizenga of Fort Lauderdale; a stepson, Everette Johnston of Dade City; a stepdaughter, Shirley Powell of Zephyrhills; two brothers, Paul of Dade City and Richard of Groveland; two sisters, Leona Baynes of Orlando and Louise Johnson of Valdosta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home, Dade City.
