Wilma L. Bullard Lowe, age 86, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday evening, October 21, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was born January 2, 1931, in Clay County, the daughter of the late Edgar L. and Pauline P. (Black) Bryan. She was united in marriage to Larry Grant Bullard on July 6, 1950, and he preceded her in death October 19, 1974. She had later been married to Philip Lowe, and he preceded her in death.

Wilma worked alongside her family on the farm for many years. She attended Round Prairie General Baptist Church in the past. Travel, if simply just a short drive, was something she enjoyed. Time spent with her family was important, and she looked forward to seeing relatives, and attending get-togethers like the Bullard family reunion.

She is survived by two sons: Bryan G. Bullard (wife Kimberly) of Rinard, and Brent Bullard of Flora; two grandchildren: Jonathan Bullard (wife Lisa) and Jennifer Collins (husband Roger); two great-grandchildren: Stacie and Kylie; three step-great-grandchildren: Roger, Alyssa, and Nadia; a sister: Gale Birkes (husband—the late Bill) of Monahans, Texas; as well as a niece, in-laws, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to either the Heritage Woods Activity Fund or Clay County Hospice.
