Sacramento resident Sean Michael Russell, formerly of Lake Don Pedro, died June 24 at Negro Bar State Park in Folsom. He was 21. Mr. Russell was born in Modesto to Michael and Carol Russell. He was raised in Lake Don Pedro and moved to Sacramento a year and a half ago. He worked at as a warehouseman at Carpet Collectors-Green Fiber in Sacramento. He participated in board sports of all types, dirt biking, camping, fresh and saltwater fishing, bicycling, abalone diving, playing baseball and basketball. He enjoyed watching San Francisco Giants baseball and listening to a wide variety of music. He attended high school at Sonora, Tioga and Don Pedro. He graduated from Sonora Union High School Adult Education in 2010 and attended Merced Junior College in 2010.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tiffany Russell, of Sacramento; grandparents, Don and Josephine Royer, of Merced, and Richard and Marjorie Russell; of Sacramento. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Carol Russell, and brother, Adam Russell, all of Lake Don Pedro; his uncles and aunts, Curt and Pam Royer, of Merced, Rick and Lenore Russell, of Sacramento, Mary Ramsey, of Sacramento, Bill and Joan Royer, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Dave and Paula Russell, of Sagle, Idaho; and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lake Don Pedro Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
