Dorothy Mavis Davidson, age 89, passed away October 17, 2017 in Jacksonville, FL.
Mrs. Davidson was a longtime member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church, and she was a devoted Christian mother and wife. She led Bible studies and also sang in the North Jacksonville Baptist Church choir for many years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and worked with the Rainbow Girls. Mavis was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
She was survived by her children, Howard, Jr., Dena, and Tina; grandchildren, Davi, Stacey, Shannon, Gus, Garrett, Riley, and Sawyer; her sisters, Honor Pierce and Wanda McCants; her brother Lloyd Morris and sister-in-law Joan Morris; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends in the Andrews, South Carolina area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Arnold Davidson; and her son Herbert Gary Davidson.
Funeral services were Saturday, October 21, 2017, in First Baptist Church of Andrews, South Carolina. Pastor Paul Sapp will officiate. Interment by McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
