04/22/1904: Montgomery News. Mrs. Susan Kirkwood died at Thurmond Monday and the remains were brought to the city on No. 3, Tuesday. She was in her seventy-seventh year. She was the mother of Robert and John Kirkwood of Eagle, and William and Charley Kirkwood and Mrs. Lizzie Montgomery of this city. The cause of her death was contributed to old age. The funeral services were conducted at the residence of Mrs. Lizzie Montgomery, and the interment took place in the family burying ground in Montgomery.
