Genevieve Altrichter of Owatonna died October 14, 2017 at Country Oaks Home Care in Dodge Center.
Mass of Christian Burial is set for Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday October 18, 2017 from 5 – 7 pm at the Brick – Meger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral liturgy. A parish rosary will take place at 4:45 pm on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
Genevieve was born March 28, 1928 in Deer River, Minnesota, the daughter of Edward and Agnes (Haley) Foley. She graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1946. She was united in marriage to Frank H. Altrichter on February 7, 1959 at St Michael's Church in Duluth. She was a stay at home mom when her kids were younger. The couple relocated to Owatonna in 1972. Gen worked as a secretary at Jostens for many years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church Senior Center, Red Hat Club and the Golden Tones. Her life interests include ceramics, singing with various groups, reading, and completing crossword puzzles.
She will be missed by her family: Theresa (Bob) Caswell of Owatonna and Frank E. (Staci) Altrichter of Ellendale; grandchildren William, Genevieve and Aaron Caswell, Frank N. and April Altrichter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank H. and sister, Margaret.
