Ethel V. Gensimore, 89, of Alexandria RD I, died Tuesday, July 15, 1986 in her home.
Mrs. Gensimore had formerly been employed at the Reliance Manufacturing Company, Tyrone.
She was born September 30, 1896, in Spruce Creek, the daughter of Harry and Naomi Reeder Brindle, and August 2, 1917, in Tyrone, married Milton F. Gensimore, who died May 24, 1964.
Eleven children survived: Georgie and Guy R. of Alexandria RD 1, Gladys Lamey of Loganton, Florence Fike of Camp Hill, Mary Waltz of Layton, Utah; Marjorie Carper of Tyrone RD 1, Luellen O’Malley of Geneva, New York; Shirley Mertiff of Tyrone, Gloria Stewart of Petersburg, Ronald C. of Altoona, and Milton D. of Alexandria; 30 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
A half-sister and three half-brothers survived: Isabel Irvin and Alfred McCarty of Barree, Donald McCarty of Claysburg and Chester McCarty of Petersburg.
Mrs. Gensimore was a member of the Huntingdon Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Services were held at the Derman Funeral Home with Mr. Gary O’Bryan officiating.
Interment was in Blair Memorial Park.
