"Funeral services for Y.D. CHATMAN, of 901 Sunset Loop, Marshall, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at West Side Church Of Christ with Claude Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery, near Harleton, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home.
Mr. Chatman died Thursday in Marshall Memorial Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Marshall, the was the son of Frank Chatman and Mattie Lewis Chatman. He was a member of West Side Church Of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, Harold Chatman and Gary Chatman, both of Marshall, James D. Chatman, of Fort Worth, and Carl Chatman, of Augusta, Georgia; three daughters, Vivian D. Washington, of Marshall, Juanita Jackson, of Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Carolyn A. Clark, of Fort Lewis, Washington; 14 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Amanda Daniels, of North Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Milton Chatman, of Dallas."
Eddie Richardson and the funeral directors with Lewis Funeral Home managed the burial arrangements.
Their son, Gary Chatman, was the informant on the death certificate.
