Donna Jean Davis, age 88 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.

Donna Jean Davis was born to Howard and Ethel (Curtis) Davis on February 8, 1929 at their home, north of Plano, Iowa. She was welcomed by two sisters, Geraldine and Gretchen. She was later joined by a sister, Eleanor.

Her father passed away on December 30, 1933. Ethel and her four daughters moved to Plano on Donna's 5th birthday in 1934. She attended Plano school. Her senior year, she boarded in Promise City, and graduated from Promise City High School in 1946.

Donna's first job was at McClellan's Dime Store. She then worked at the Sears and Roebuck store in Centerville for over 30 years. She later worked for US Bank for 10 years until her retirement in 1991.

She was an active member of the Plano Christian Church for over 83 years. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, walking, and time with her family. She traveled extensively in the USA and Europe.

Donna belonged to the Prestige Club at Iowa Trust Bank and Circle and Ladies Aid at the Plano Christian Church.

Donna is survived by her sister, Gretchen Fadiga of Centerville; nieces, Patricia (Larry) Jenkins and Carol (Ed) Bacon both of Boone, Becky (Brad) Fetters of Lineville, and Jody (Julie) Ingersoll of Urbandale; one nephew, Phil (Faye) Jones of Edgewood; step brothers, Roger (Norma) Wells and Clive (Margaret) Wells of Plano; as well as many great and step nieces and nephews. She was "Aunt Donna" to her brother-in-law's family and many more.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Rex Wells, sisters, Geraldine (Morris) Fadiga and Eleanor (Dale) Jones; brother-in-law, John Fadiga; a niece, Janice (Val) Reed; step sisters, Leone (Hershel) Irwin, Lila (Harold) Haines, and Dixie (Frances) Millizer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Plano Christian Church, Plano, Iowa with Pastor Chad Combs officiating. Interment will follow the services at Brushy Cemetery north of Plano. A visitation will take place from 5-7PM Monday, October 16, 2017 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville. Memorials have been established to either the Plano Christian Church or the Centerville Lord's Cupboard, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
