HELEN-Mrs. Onzell Drake Latham, age 76, of Helen, Georgia, died Saturday, July 5, 2008, at her residence. A native of Marshall County, Alabama, Mrs. Latham was born February 2, 1932. The daughter of the late Floyd Drake and Virgie Jeffers Drake. She was retired from Wal-Mart where she had been employed as an office clerk.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today, July 8, 2008, in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev Stacy Penland officiating.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Ann Holloway of Helen: three sons, Gary Wayne and Vickie Latham of Leslie, Loney Lawrence and Deanne Latham of Americus, and John Paul and Debbie Latham of Biloxi, Mississippi. Mrs. Latham is also survived by four sisters, Mary Magaleen Clanton of Hampton, Georgia, Doris Virginia Clanton of Griffin, Georgia, Patricia Ann Tomlinson of Leslie, Georgia, Margie Powell of Americus, Georgia: two Brothers, Kenneth Drake of Leslie, Georgia and Charles Edward Drake of Americus, Georgia: 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, N.L. Latham and two sisters, Helen Ruth and Louise Avery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times at the residence of Jason Holloway, 2113 Ga. Highway 30 West, Americus.
