FREMONT -- Alan D. Croson, age 87, of Fremont, formerly of Hooper, passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at Fremont Health.

Alan was born Feb. 11, 1930, at Ethan, South Dakota, to Homer and Esther (VanNatta) Croson. Al was former CO-OP manager at Farmers CO-OP. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Al married Elaine (Lammers) on March 27, 1954, in Omaha.

Survivors include: his wife, Elaine of Fremont; daughters, Cindy (Randy) Ennis of Omaha, Nancy (Paul) Morris of Yuma, Arizona, and Barb (Wayne) Summers of Parker, Colorado; brother, Don (Mary) Croson of Racine, Wisconsin; sisters, Barbara Colvin of Austin, Texas, and Chloe Ann Harshman of Lafayette, Indiana; grandchildren, Elizabeth Einsphar, Jessica Cornell, Jennifer Correro and Jeremy Morris; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Corey Alan Croson; sisters, Helen Croson, Colleen Ewing, Lois Kress and Sharon Wessman; and brother, Lee Croson.

The memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at Faith United Methodist Church in Hooper. A Masonic service will be at church as a part of the service. Private burial and military honors will be at the Hooper Cemetery.

Memorials are suggest to the church.
