Greenwich, Services will be held today for Elmer J. Clegg, 84, a retired foreman with E.I. DuPont Corp., who died Friday at home.
Mr. Clegg retired from the research and development laboratory at DuPont in 1970 after 45 years of service.
He was a member of F&AM Paulsboro Lodge No. 262; a member of the Go Get 'Em Club of Pennsgrove, and the South Jersey Baseball "Old Timers" Organization.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph W. and Elmer J., Jr., both of Gibbstown; a step-daughter, Mary Troiano; six grandchildren, and a brother, John W. Clegg, of Gibbstown...Burial will be in Eglington Cemetery

ELMER J. CLEGG , 84, of Gibbstown, died Friday at home.
Mr. Clegg , who was born in Philadelphia, lived in Gibbstown for 50 years. He was a retired general foreman in the research and development lab of E.I. Du Pont Corp. in Greenwich Township. Mr. Clegg enjoyed playing baseball and softball throughout South Jersey and was a former member of the DuPont Foreman and Supervisor Club. He was a member of the Clonmell United Methodist Church in Gibbstown, Paulsboro Lodge 262 F&AM, Glassboro Forrest 1 Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Go Get 'Em Gun Club of Penns Grove and the South Jersey Baseball Old Timers organization.
Survivors: two sons, Joseph W. and Elmer J. Jr., both of Gibbstown; a stepdaughter, Mary Troiano of Somers Point; six grandchildren; 13 grandchildren, and his brother, John W. of Gibbstown.
Services: visitation, 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow, Pettit-McBride Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro; Paulsboro Masonic Lodge service, 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home; funeral, 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home; burial, Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
