Vonda Coy Nash, 83, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY. Vonda was born on June 23, 1933 in Forest Lake Twp. to the late Floyd and Jennie Coy.
Vonda is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 63 years, William “Bill” Nash; 2 sons, Ronald (Michael) Nash and Randy (Toni) Nash; 4 grandchildren, Christine (Shaun) MacNamee, and Daniel, Trevor, and Devin Nash; 3 great grandchildren, Tilly, Maisie, and Weston MacNamee; sister, Anita Griffis; and many dear nieces and nephews.
Vonda loved to garden and was a longtime member of the Choconut Valley Garden Club. She was a longtime member of the Forest Lake Baptist Church and former employee of the County National Bank. She enjoyed her summers on Forest Lake with all of her family and fellow cottagers and was an avid supporter and enthusiast of her family’s athletic ventures.
A Funeral Service for Vonda will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11am at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, 232 S. Main St, Montrose with committal to follow at the Montrose Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.
