Hinesville – Gabriel Allen “Gibby” Alamo, 58, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was born in Augsburg, Germany to military parents and had lived in Hinesville most of his life. He had worked at the commissary on Ft. Stewart before his health failed, and was an avid poker and bingo player. He was of the Catholic faith and preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel R. and Edna Alamo.

Survivors are his brother and sister-in-law, Mike Alamo and Denny of Hinesville; sister, Deborah Alamo of Plano, TX; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services and burial in Oglethorpe Memorial Cemetery will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral Home of Ludowici.
