E. M. Brown Stricken At 74

E. M. Brown, 74-year-old Spanish-American War veteran, died last night at his home, 1608 Quarrier St., following an illness.

A senior at Northwestern university is a grandson, Gregory B. Shuker, who last winter toured Russia with six others college editors.

Young Shuker made his home with the grandfather.

Mr. Brown was a retired chief trainmaster with the New York Central System and was a member of the First Presbyterian church. He also was a member of the BPOE lodge at Circleville, O.

His wife, Laura, died five months ago.

His body is at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home.
