Belle Hensley was born in April 1862 to Joseph N. Hensley (1837- 30 Nov 1862) and Elizabeth Kirk (1835-), who were married 15 Jan 1857 in Carter County, Kentucky. Belle had three siblings: James Lewis Hensley (memorial ID 187056566: 8 December 1857 - 24 December 1892), Charles "Charlie"Hensley (3 November 1859 - 1860, memorial ID 214448977), and Emma (1860 -25 October 1862, memorial ID memorial ID 187056566).

On 28 Nov 1878, in Boyd County, Kentucky, Belle Hensley married Robert "Milton" Campbell, Jr., (1848-1931), and had seven children: Oscar King Campbell (1880-1956), Effie Campbell Ingwerson (1881-1968), Louella Campbell Kirk (1883-1962), Allen David Campbell, Sr. (1894-1965), and three who died in infancy: Ora, Ira, and Harry, who were born between Louella and Allen David in that order.

Belle Campbell died in 1900 after the June 1900 federal census. Shortly afterward, Milton Campbell married a widow, Mary Anne Lambert Stewart, mother of Lowell Girard Stewart, Milton Campbell's stepson. Belle and Mary are often mistaken for each other.

Belle and Robert Milton Campbell have two separate stones, dozens of yards from other tombstones, and covered with thick weeds. These two stones will be overlooked easily.
