Clyde U. Brewer, 55, died January 1, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born September 7, 1935 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to William Arthur and Maurine Ione Rasmussen Brewer. Married Betty Fay Moseley on March 1, 1958; later divorced. Married Saundra Carter in Salt Lake City, December 21, 1985.
In his full-time military career in the US Army, he earned numerous medals and two Bronze Stars. He was also chosen as one of the outstanding young men of America in 1970. He served in Japan, France, Germany, and twice in Vietnam.
Survived by son and daughters, Mrs. David (Deana) Horn, Franklin, Tennessee; Mrs. John (Sandra) House, Eads, Tennessee; Scott C. Brewer, serving in Persian Gulf; Mrs. Ed (Dawn Ann) Houghtaling, Clarksville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; brothers, Don, Martin, Glen, Jerrald, Bert and Roger; sister, Elaine Shepherd.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 5, 1991 at 1 p.m. at Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 South State, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to time of service. Interment, Veterans Memorial Park, Bluffdale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Veterans Memorial Park.
