LARSON-SMITH

Mrs. Maud LARSON and Will SMITH were married in a simple ceremony last Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore LARSON in Oak Creek. The wedding was performed by candle light with all of Mrs. SMITH's children present.

Mrs. SMITH wore a becoming outfit of olive green with brown accessories. She was attended during the ceremony by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Stanley LARSON of Denver. Her son, Theodore LARSON, was best man.

The setting for the wedding included fall flowers and leaves lighted by yellow candles. Music throughout the recital of vows was played by Marguerite See. Rev. Laurain Wahlquist officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. SMITH has lived in Routt county for 25 years and is well known throughout the district. She has many friends who are wishing her happiness in the new home she plans to make in California.

Mr. SMITH comes from Santa Cruz, California, where he and Mrs. SMITH will live. He has one daughter Mrs. John HASTINGS of Fresno, California. Mrs. HASTINGS was not able to be at the wedding but Mr. and Mrs. SMITH place to visit her soon after they return to the coast.

Mrs. SMITH met her husband when she was visiting last year with her sister who lives near Santa Cruz. The climate of California appeals very much to Mrs. SMITH, a fact which will help to counter-balance her regret at leaving her relatives and friends in Colorado. Mr. SMITH's home is about a mile from the ocean. The couple plan to drive to California leaving Steamboat Springs in a week or two.

A wedding dinner at the LARSON home followed. Those who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley LARSON of Denver, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm LARSON of Minturn, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McDermott, Mrs. Henry REHDER and Mr. and Mrs. Webster SEE of Steamboat Springs.

Mr. and Mrs. Cle MONTGOMERY and Mr. and Mrs. Harold TUCKER called during the evening to greet the newly-married couple.

Mrs. SMITH's children are Stanley LARSON of Denver, Malcolm LARSON of Minturn, Theodore LARSON of Oak Creek, Mrs. Henry REHDER and Mrs. Andrew McDermott of Steamboat Springs.

The best wishes of many friends will follow Mr. and Mrs. SMITH to their new home.
