Adams Willie "Billy" Adams was born on June 8, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to Pete and Ollie Waddell Adams . He departed this life on May 2, 2014 at Grant Medical Center. Willie was raised in Columbus, Ohio and educated in the Columbus Public school System. As a young man, Willie served honorably as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950 -1952. He was employed as a Valet for the late Jack Frost for nine years. Willie was also employed as an Executive Chef for the Ohio Investment Company for the late John W. Wolfe, retiring on May 31, 1995 after 18 years of service. He was a former member of New Calvary Baptist Church, under the Pastorate Melvin Griffin, and was presently a member of Temple of Faith (COLG) under the spiritual guidance of Bishop Roger J. Hairston. Preceded in death by his parents Pete and Ollie Waddell Adams , brothers Richard, Oliver, Pete, and Emanuel Adams , sisters Sonola Adams , Mattie L. Lively, and Catherine Hale. Survived by nieces, Caldia Welch and Carolyn Hudgins; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
