She was united in marriage to George Joseph Armstrong on March 29, 1941. Mr. Armstrong preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1986.
Mrs. Armstrong was retired with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as an administrative assistant. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.
She is survived by son, Joseph Gary Armstrong (wife Beth), of Pulaski, Tennessee; grandchildren, Emily Carol Isley (husband Jason), Ashley Cecelia Armstrong, John Lee Joseph Armstrong (wife Anna), and Allison Angeline Rehnborg (husband Ryan); three great-grandchildren; nieces, Lynn Biskup (husband Joel), Charlotte Godfrey (husband John), and Gloria Fling Tuck; and nephew, Michael Pryce Fling (wife Joy).
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by daughter, Carolyn Old O'Connor, and sisters, Mary Lou Biskup and Lavena Monte Fling.
