Harry A. Starr Jr., 90, of Lewisburg, formerly of Minersville and Sunbury, passed away Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street.

Born Dec. 22, 1926, in Minersville, he was a son of the late Harry Sr. and Freda Miller Starr.

He was a member of the Salvation Army Church in Pottsville.

Harry was a TEC 5 in the Army, having served during World War II. He was a member of the Company B 1629th Engineer Construction Battalion. He received the World War II Victory Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon and the Army Occupation Medal, Japan.

Harry worked in the laboratory at the Allentown Portland Cement Co. in Leesport.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Robert Starr and Edward Starr; two sisters, Betty Starr and Jean Foley; a stepdaughter, Pauline Craig; a stepgrandson, Matthew Hagan.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Della "Dee" Davis Craig Starr; three stepchildren, Margie Edison, White Deer, Dorothy Sargent, Dunn, N.C., and Edward Craig, Lewisburg; five grandchildren, Heather Edison, Wendy Santiago, T.J. Edison, Christopher Hagan and Nathaniel Craig; great-grandchildren.
