Charles Albert Forrester, 68, of 3130 Jefferson St., died Tuesday at SiIverado Convalescent Hospital after a lingering illness.

Mr. Forrester was born in Yountville on July 6, 1906, to the late Charles and Simona Forrester. He married Roselyn E. Gist in Vallejo in 1932. Since 1933 he had worked in the rock quarry plant at Basalt Rock Co., retiring in 1964.

Survivors include his wife, Roselyn E.; a daughter, Loretta D. Smith; a son, Thomas E., all of Napa; four brothers, Bud of Orland, Jim and Thomas, both of Napa, and Malcolm; and three sisters, Belle Segoria, Alice Borges, and Jessie McGall, all of Napa.

Two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

A Catholic Prayer service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Treadway and Wigger Funeral Chapel with St. John's Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be at Tulocay Cemetery.
