Lorraine Mildred Peterson, age 90, of Red Wing, died Saturday September 30, 2017, at the Red Wing Health Center. She was born October 22, 1926, in Red Wing to Christ and Lillian (Nelson) Albers. She graduated from Goodhue High School in 1944. She trained to the Cadet Nursing Corp and then graduated from St. John’s School of Nursing as a RN in 1947. She then worked at the Interstate Clinic in Red Wing and the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond, WI. On Septermber 10, 1950 she married Marvin Peterson. Lorraine was a part of the Red Cross and also volunteered with Hospice and Faith in Action. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Lorraine enjoyed traveling, flowers and boxer dogs. She always had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her sister, Florence (Kenneth) Bremer of Red Wing; brother, Robert (Sue) Albers of Lake City; nieces and nephews, Susan Majerus, Sarah Meyers, Sandy VanStone, James Bremer, Barbara Neely Swenson, David Neeley, Mary Ann Neeley, Cindy Matthees, Rick Albers, and Kim Kuhl. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; brother, Howard Albers; sister, Eleanor Neeley.

Memorial service will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Arthur Sharot officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
