Michael E. Stoops, 52, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on June 10, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.
He was born on October 23, 1964 in Carlinville, IL the son of Ivan and Margie (Samples) Stoops.
Mike enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and camping. He loved spending with his family and friends. Mike also enjoyed drag racing in Du Quoin, IL.
He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Mike will be remembered by brother, David (Linda) Stoops of Mount Carmel; sister, Patty (Barry) Randall of Mount Carmel; grandchildren, Beth Reynolds and Zack Patterson; ex-wife, Kathy Stoops Russell; along with several nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tracey and Brian Stoops.
In keeping with Mike’s wishes he will be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time.
