She is survived by her loving family, her husband of 50 years Larry E. Clary, daughter, Michele Royster (John), Genia Bledsoe (Bryan), and son Travis E. Clary, all of McArthur. She will be sadly missed by four grandchildren, McKenna and Luke Bledsoe, Tucker Clary and Jacelyn Mae Pettet. She is also survived by her special caregiver, Ruth Jarvis, and countless friends and family members.
Kay was a 1963 graduate of McArthur High School and was a cosmetology school graduate as well. She worked with her husband as Deputy Treasurer in the courthouse for almost 29 years. She was a member of a card club for 45 years where she enjoyed playing euchre with her many wonderful friends. Kay was a member of McArthur Post#5279 Ladies Auxiliary and McArthur Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a former member of the Back-up Stars Square Dance Club, VCHS Band Boosters and Athletic Boosters. She loved to support her community. Kay was also a firefighter's wife for 45 years.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2016, in the First Christian Church, 207 E. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m., where a Ladies Auxiliary service will be held at 7 p.m. and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
