FROSTBURG — Mrs. Bessie Bender, 58, wife of Bruce Bender, died at 6 a.m. today at her residence, 80 Mechanic Street, following an illness of six months. Mrs. Bender was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Her first husband died a number of years ago. Surviving, besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Peter Miller, Oakland, and Mrs. Patrick Garlitz, Frostburg, and five sons, Marshal McKenzie, Avilton; Wilbur, Jonas and Martin McKenzie, all of Grantsville, and Cobey McKenzie, Finzel. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home. A requiem mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a. m. in St. Michael's Church with burial in St. Ann's Cemetery, Avilton.
