CAMERON—George Alexander Dodd, 86, of the Clarkson community, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Gary Maroney officiating. Burial followed in the Clarkson Cemetery.
 Mr. Dodd, a farmer and rancher, was born Aug. 30, 1920 in Blue, Oklahoma to Vernon and Annie (Hauk) Dodd. He married Leola Behne on Oct. 6, 1941. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cameron and President of the Milam County Farmers Union. Two sisters, Mary Filadelfia and LaVerne Griffin preceded him in death.
 Survivors include his wife, Leola Dodd of Clarkson; three sons, Glenn Dodd of Houston, Lonnie Dodd of Cameron and Richard Dodd of Cameron; two daughters, Doris Annette Dodd of Houston and Karen Pair of Georgetown; two brothers, Alvin Dodd of Cameron and Clarence Dodd of Cameron; four sisters, Leona Briggs of Ft. Worth, Nadine Richardson of Ft. Worth, Evelyn Vrotsos of Dallas and Inez Clark of Ft. Worth; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
 Memorials may be made to the Clarkson Cemetery Association Fund c/o Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.
