William Geary
EASTVILLE—William Geary, 71, a life long resident of Sugar Valley and well-known as a carpenter in this and surrounding communities, died of a paralytic stroke Monday, August 20, 1941, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hester Bartges, after being ill since the death of his wife in May.
He was a member of the Brethren Church at Eastville.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Barthes were two other daughters, Mrs. Jennie Livingston, Muncy, and Mrs. Thelma Walizer, Mill Hall RD; also 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers and a sister, James Geary of Hersey Shore; Oliver of Eastville and Mrs. Jane Oyster of Northumberland.
Funeral services were held with short services at the home, and further services at the Brethren Church.
The reverend Earl Kipp of Newport officiated and burial was made in the local cemetery

Funeral Rites Sunday For Brother of Town Woman

Funeral services for William Geary, 71, Sugar Valley, brother of Mrs. James Oyster, of Sunbury, were held from the late home with further services at the Brethren Church in Sugar Valley with Reverend Earl Kipp, Millport, officiating.
Interment was made in the Eastville Cemetery.
Mr. Geary died Wednesday, August 20, 1941, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hester Bartges,, Eastville, after an illness of several months.
