DOVER Allene E. Fissell, 86, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Belle Haven Nursing Home, Quakertown. She was the wife of the late Eugene F. Fissell. She was born December 12, 1920, in Six Mile Run, Mifflin County, a daughter of the late Robert S. and Elizabeth (Gamber) Stahl. Allene retired from Berg Electronics where she worked as an assembler. She previously worked in the card room of Blue Bird Silk Mill, York. Allene was known as a grandmother to many and as a great cook who enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She is survived by two daughters, Judy A. Shaub of Quakertown and Betty Jean Rehmeyer of Dover; two sons, Richard C. Fissell of Yelm, Wash., and William R. Fissell of Newberrytown; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ruth Adams of Wisconsin; and a brother, Robert Stahl of Mechanicsburg. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Clark F. Reidel; and a brother, David Maugle. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral at 10:30 a.m. and the viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie Whittier, pastor of St. Paul's Red Run U.C.C., East Berlin.
