It was announced late this afternoon that funeral services would be held from the Bradford home Thursday morning at 10:30 o’clock conducted by Rev. Roy C. Snodgrass, pastor of the First Christian Church. Interment will be made in the Jones Cemetery.” The Chillicothe Constitution, March 6, 1923

"Died, near Big Piney, January 3rd, 1910, Mr. Preston Nowlin, aged 63 years. He was born I Fayette County, Ill., December 1, 1846 and was married to Miss Manervia Arbogast in 1866 [sic]. Three children were born to them, John W., Chas. N., and Mrs. Jessie Bradford of Chillicothe, who survive him." The Pulaski County Democrat, January 28, 1910
