Ava Davis, 91 of Booneville, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in Booneville. She was born October 9, 1925, at Ozone, AR., in a log cabin built by her father and grandfather. Her parents were Roy R. Moore and Zora Arbaugh-Moore.
She was a founding member of Booneville Christian Center, presently known as the Living Word Tabernacle, Booneville, AR. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, working in her amazing flower garden and being together with family. She retired from Inland Container Co., Newark, CA., and also worked at George’s Speed Wash in Booneville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 70 years George D. Davis, son Bobby Davis and granddaughter Stacey Davis.
She is survived by one daughter Sandra Davis and husband Bill, of Booneville, two sons Mark Davis and wife Sherri, of Greenwood and Jerry Davis and wife Michelle, of Brownsville, eighteen grandchildren Christopher, Anthony, George, Connie, Sherri, Jerri, Bobby Jo, Melissa, Nicole and Sara Davis, Christine Gallet of Booneville, Stacy Jayne of Escalon, CA., Denise D’LaO of Newark, CA., Robert Delmas of Booneville, Daymon Schlereth of Corning, CA., Daniel De Pietro of Grass Valley, CA., Bubba Smith of Booneville, Sarah Kennon of Greenwood, thirty-eight great grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews, three sister in laws Bobbi Davis of Wichita, KS., Lucille Wineland of Ozark, Audine Davis of Ozark, and her best friend Eddi Ellis of Booneville.
The family will visit with friends and loved one at Roberts Funeral Home, Booneville, at 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Funeral Service will be Monday, October 2, at 10:00 a.m., at Roberts Funeral Home, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
Pall Bearers will be Jim Dodson, Bob Ward, Ed Reynolds, Mike Hardy, Bob Cobb and Bill Cobb.
