Born in Laurelton, PA, she was one of nine children born to William and Mary Gross.
She has been a resident of Glassboro since 1960 and was formerly employed by Glassboro Board of Education as a school aide. Lucille was a longtime member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Glassboro and loved to travel, take day trips with Glassboro Senior Citizens, play cards and was known for putting delicious, home-cooked meals on her table. Lucille was devoted to taking care of her husband and raising her 3 boys
In addition to her husband, George, she was predeceased by her son, Donald and is survived by two sons, George T., Jr. (Elizabeth) of Claude, TX and Steven J. (Elaine M.) of Clayton and her grandson, Daniel J. Awalt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM in MATHIS FUNERAL HOME , 43 N. Delsea Drive, Glassboro, NJ, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Manahath Cemetery.
