Nancy Ellen Edge is the daughter of Levi C. Edge (1814 Tennessee - 1855 Texas) & Susannah Elizabeth Savage Edge (1823 Missouri - 1882 Texas)

"Ellen's" parents came from Tennessee in 1880 by train. Crossing the Mississippi river by barge. They settled in the Calamus Community

Nancy married Francis Marion Cherry I on 31 Dec 1865 after he returned from war, serving 4 years in the Confederate Army under Captain Baker.
