Graveside services for Barton Glenn Copeland, age 74, of Irving, Texas, will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Russell Cemetery, west of Buffalo in rural Leon County, Texas. There will be no public visitation. Barton Glenn Copeland was born on June 22, 1943 in Centerville, Texas to John Lloyd & Betty (Vann) Copeland. He graduate from Buffalo High School in Buffalo. Barton lived most of his life in Irving, Texas where he worked as a warehouse manager in the H.V.A.C. industry. He enjoyed fishing and rebuilding computers. He also raised and showed Modena Pigeons. Barton also enjoyed going to garage sales as often as he could. He passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 in Irving. Barton was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Alma Jean; brothers, Joe Lee, John, Don & Charles Copeland and sisters, Faye Watson and Betty Sue Waters. Surviving family members include step-daughter, Debra Barfield of Willis; brother, Ernest Copeland & wife, Phyllis, of Scurry; sister-n-law, Emma Copeland and numerous nieces and nephews. Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
