Mr Tommy A. Barragan
October 2, 1926 ~ September 24, 2017 (age 90)Tommy A. Barragan, better known as "Tony" passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at his Firebaugh home surrounded by his loving family. Tony, age 90, was born in Salinas, California and came to Firebaugh at a very young age where he has made his home ever since. Tony a member of the "Greatest Generation" was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of American Legion Post 346, the Y.M.I. of Firebaugh, a volunteer with the Firebaugh Fire Department, and a life booster of the Firebaugh High School athletic programs. Tony was a devout member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and sang in the church choir for many years. He was a dedicated employee of Hammond Ranches where he retired after a career which spanned 40 years as a Produce Manager. Tony was a respected member of the Firebaugh Community which he was proud to call his home town.

In addition to his parents Ramon and Maria Pino Barragan, Tony was preceded in death by 5 siblings.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Genevieve Gonzales Barragan of Firebaugh; he is the beloved father of Shirley Paganucci and her husband Richard of Firebaugh, Tom Barragan of Arroyo Grande, CA. Danny Barragan and his wife Terie of Firebaugh and Gary Barragan and his wife Melody also of Firebaugh. He is the brother of Esther Lopez of Napa, CA and was an honored grandfather, great grandfather and great great-grandfather.

Recitation of the Rosary will be on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 9:30 AM followed by the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM both at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Firebaugh California.

Interment with Veteran Honor's will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens in Fresno.

The Family has suggested that remembrances may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
