Dorothy (Holm) Junkert, 82, of Cook died on Sunday, March 11, 2007, from complications of cancer. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. She is survived by her children, Mickey (Ron) Maki of Lake Vermilion-Cook, Rich (Donna) Holm of Cook, and Barb (Jon) Aysta of Pike Sandy; grandchildren, Sarah (Travis Hough) Maki of Seattle, Wash., Adam (nee Jenny Martel) Maki of Minneapolis, Riley (Nicole) Holm of Cook, Drew Holm of Minneapolis, Paul Ludlow of Sun Valley, Idaho, and Lake Vermilion-Cook, Doug Aysta of Virginia, and Rob Aysta of Florida; great granddaughter, Allie Holm of Cook; sister, LaVerne Curtis of Los Angeles and Lake Vermilion-Cook; brother, Don (Jean) Anderson of Duluth; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Anderson of Hibbing and Gladys Anderson of Spokane, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews. CELEBRATION OF LIFE:1 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2007, IN the Evangelical Covenant Church of Cook., with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Virginia. Arrangements are with the Mlaker Funeral Home in Cook.
