New Albany - Ronald Ralph Carter, age 71, passed away September 24, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born October 3, 1945 in New Albany to Ralph Carter and Annie May Teague. He was retired from the United States Air Force. He was a member of Keownville Baptist Church.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at United Funeral Service with Bro. Jerry Bishop officiating. Burial will be in the Keownville Cemetery. United Funeral Service will be in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by two daughters, Rhonda McDonald (Chris) of New Albany and Tanya Burley (Bill) of Connellsville, PA; two sisters, Barbara Ann McDonald of IN and Nina Kay Holcomb of Tupelo; a brother, Thomas Carter of Saltillo; five grandchildren, Shayna Busby, Jessica Burley, Joseph Burley, Billy Burley and Chris Lehman; and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Pearl Hollister Carter.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. til 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bill Polland, Curtis Chism, Sonny Thweatt, Butch Leach, Buddy Mathis, Bobby McGill and Clark Dye.

In honor of Mr. Carter’s service to his country, United Funeral Service will fly the U.S. Air Force flag during the visitation and service.
