Samuel Newton Lemley, 63, of 498 Pennsylvania Ave., Westover, died recently at his home.

He was born April 15, 1917 at Mt. Morris, Pa., a son of the late William Lawrence and Icie Myrtle Kiger Lemley.

He was self-employed as a carpenter and collector.

He was a graduate of West Virginia University, a veteran of World War II and served in Japan.

He was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church and Odd Fellows Lodge.

Surviving are an uncle, S. Hershel Lemley of Morgantown, and several cousins.
