Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm from Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Kingsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Vernel was a member of Cornerstone Church of God. She previously worked at Fines Department Store, McCoy Manufacturing and The Yellow Front Grocery Store. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary VFW.
Survived by her sons, Billy Ray (Glenda) and Ricky (Sherry) Adams; daughters, Annette Chandler and Barbara (Norman) McCurdy; sister, Annie Paige Hulsey; grandchildren, Sheila (Joey) Keener, Rev. Keith (Tammi) Chandler, Stephanie (Alle) Keener, Ryan (Kari) Adams, Anieca (Rev. Jonathan) Henderson, Charlianne Lawrence, Sandra (Corey) Hauser and Heath McCurdy; granddaughter in-law Janet Adams; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by, husbands, William "Ray"Adams and Billy and Oscar Robertson; parents, Delmer Cooper and Era Chandler Cooper; Grandson, Brandon Adams; brothers, Dallas, Dick, Palmer, Billy and Dile Cooper; sister, Myrtis Clifton.
