Jennie Abbott Deakin Valentine

TREMONTON - Jennie Abbott Deakin Valentine, 84, died September 23, 1996 in the Bear River Valley Care Center. She was born on October 24, 1911 in Paradise, UT, the daughter of Jacob Davis and Ellinor Grace Oldham Abbott. She married and later divorced David Fern Deakin, she married and later divorced Nile G. Stanger, she married Jack Valentine and he preceded her in death.
Jennie was reared and educated and lived most of her life in Box Elder County.
She owned and operated with her four sons a dry farm in Blue Creek, she also worked at Gepharts as a salesperson.
She was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are one son and four daughters-in-law, Vern (Judy) Deakin, Tremonton; Donna, Brigham City; Eula, Tremonton; Judy, Elk Grove, CA.; I I grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Joy Abbott, Malad, ID.; Arden Abbott, Ogden.
She was preceded in death by three sons, David, Jack and Bob, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Special thanks is given to the caregivers at the Bear River Valley Care Center.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, 1996, 12 noon at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home III North 100 East, Tremonton, with President Max Ward, officiating. Friends call on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
