Mrs. Peggy Jean Turpin, age 71, of Clinton, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 20, 2017, at Parkwest Medical Center.

Mrs. Turpin was born August 18, 1946, in Heiskell, Tennessee.

She attended the Second Baptist Church in Clinton and loved to worship her Lord.

Peggy loved to do anything outdoors but especially enjoyed gardening, cleaning, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She had a giving heart and will be known for the love she had as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard Herman Ridenour and Dixie Humphrey Ridenour; and brothers, James and Leonard Ridenour, all of Heiskell, Tennessee; and sister Janice Goforth, of Holladay, Tennessee.

She is survived by her loving husband, together for 42 years, Steve Turpin; daughters Sherrie (Lee) Ashmore of Clinton, and Tammy (Scott) Whittaker of Maryville; and grandchildren, Brandi Allen, Derek and Noah Jones, Alia Ashmore, Katie Whittaker, Kendal Whittaker and Kamryn Whittaker. Surviving siblings are brothers, Vaughn (Carolyn) Ridenour, Harry (Janet) Ridenour, Larry (Georgia) Ridenour, Dewane Ridenour, Bobby (Susan) Ridenour, and Jackie (Connie) Ridenour; and sisters Rhonda (Wayne) Hatmaker and Debbie (Tom) Barton; and by many special friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday, September 22, from 6= 8 pm, at Holly Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral services to immediately follow.

Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 23 and go in funeral procession to the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery for a 11:00 AM interment.
