On Mar. 16, 1668/9 at Falmouth, Mass., Mercy m. William Weeks, Jr., s. of William Weeks, Sr. and his unnamed first wife. Mercy's husband was the brother of her brother John's wife Elizabeth. He was born circa 1645 possibly in England.
William and Mercy (Robinson) Weeks had eight children of record. The first child was b. of record at Barnstable and the rest at Falmouth, Mass.:
• i. Mary Weeks, b. Jan. 16, 1669/70; m. Mar 7, 1690/91 of record at Barnstable, Mass., Aaron Rowley, s. of Moses Rowley and Elizabeth Fuller (Dr. Matthew2, Edward Fuller1 of the Mayflower), b. May 1, 1666 at Barnstable; six children of record at Falmouth, Mass.
• ii. Mehitable Weeks, b. Oct. 16, 1671; m. her 1st cousin Timothy Robinson May 3, 1699 at Falmouth, Mass.; she had a dau. Mehitable b. Feb. 28, 1699/00 who died in infancy and the mother Mehitable either d. during or soon after childbirth. Timothy m. 2) by May 1700 Mehitable's sister Experience Weeks, by whom he had six children.
• iii. Sarah Weeks, b. May 6, 1674; no further record. She did not, as commonly claimed, m. Seth Stewart of Sandwich, Mass. in 1716 at Falmouth, as he was born in Apr. 1691, notwithstanding that Seth Stewart on the record did marry a Sarah Weeks, but the latter Sarah cannot be confirmed as the dau. of Mercy (Robinson) Weeks.
• iv. Experience Weeks, b. June 24, 1677; m. by May 1700 as his 2nd wife, her widowed brother-in-law and 1st cousin Timothy Robinson. Six children of the marriage, their first child dau. Mehitable was b. Jan. 31, 1700/1.
• v. Mercy Weeks, b. Apr. 24, 1679; m. Oct. 7, 1700 probably at Falmouth, Ebenezer Meigs of Guilford, Conn. [Dea. John3, John2, Vincent1]. Five children of the family b. of record at Guilford, Conn.
• vi. Jonathan Weeks, b. May 1, 1681; m. his 1st cousin Mercy Robinson Oct. 26, 1704 at Sandwich, Mass.
• vii. Benjamin Weeks, b. Apr. 4, 1685; m. Mary Chase at Tisbury, Mass. Jan. 14, 1704/5.
• viii. Lydia Weeks, b. June 30, 1687; m. Oct. 9, 1707 at Falmouth, Mass., William Swift 4th, b. Jan. 24, 1679/80 at Sandwich, Mass.
